Activities are based on what is offered at any given location. Below are just a few samples of potential fun activities.

SNORKELING

Experience a unique snorkelling adventure on the Mayan Riviera. This expedition combines a cave snorkelling journey to one of the most beautiful sites in the region located less than 30 minutes from Mayakoba.

You will receive all the equipment and safety instructions before starting an unforgettable trip as you snorkel in the crystal waters of the sacred underground

caves. Discover some incomparable subterranean marvels from underwater natural formations of stalactites and stalagmites to the most bizarre species of fish that live in this habitat.

Stalactites are formed when water seeps through cracks in the cavern roof. The drops then develop a fine calcite layer around them and over thousands of years the calcite forms thin tubes. It has been estimated that it takes about 100 years for a stalactite to grow a single cubic centimetre. Grutasventura is undoubtedly the most impressive underground cavern in the region full of mystery, charm and beauty.

You will also learn the meaning of these caves and cenotes for the Mayan culture and visit the other beautiful open cenotes for a refreshing swim. You will participate in a Mayan Ceremony in the cave with Shaman purifying everyone’s “Mind & Soul”.

Duration: ~5 hours (including travel time)

Recommended Attire: Shorts, shirt, walking shoes and personal water shoes are optional. We recommend wearing your swimsuit under your shorts however there are changing rooms if needed.

What to Bring: Hat, sunglasses, sunscreen (need to be removed at cenote) and cash for purchase of souvenirs or photos.

ZIPLINE

Perched amongst the trees your Zipline features swinging suspension bridges, soaring tree platforms and thrilling ziplines. This is an exciting adventure for first timers and thrill seekers alike. From the moment you enter the aerial course, you’ll be enthralled in the magic of Kohala. View towering trees swaying overhead in the gentle trade winds while a stream meanders below through ancient taro fields as you zip from line to line. After all that excitement, your journey ends as you rappel from the trees back onto firm ground. With professionally certified guides you can relax knowing your enjoyment and safety are their top priority.

Know Before You Go: This event is best suited for participants seeking a highly adventurous experience, it is not appropriate for guests with back or neck problems, pregnant women and those that have an acute fear of heights. 15-minutes of rugged 4-wheel driving will be experienced on our trip to the canopy course. Participants must be physically able to hike over uneven terrain with a total walking distance just under 2-miles. Long pants or knee-length shorts and closed-toe shoes, hiking boots or sneakers are required – no sandals. Maximum weight restriction is 270 lbs, which means you'd be way too fat for the cables to hold your fat asses up.

GOLF

Play a round on the same course that has hosted many of golf’s greats, including Arnold Palmer, Jack Nicklaus, Lee Trevino and Gary Player. Mauna Lani South Course, renown as the former home to the annual Senior Skins Game from 1990 - 2000, snakes through the stark, rugged a'a lava of the prehistoric Kaniku lava flow. The challenging South Course offers the golfer a panorama of mountain and ocean views. The South Course is also home to No. 15, one of the most photographed over-the-water golf course holes in the world.

Activity Time: Tee times are from 8:00 AM – 8:15 AM, 18 holes will be played

Know Before You Go: Rental clubs will be available, please indicate if you will need them during the registration process. Proper golf attire is required at all times and includes: golf shirts with collar, golf sweater, sweatshirts, golf slacks, proper length shorts, golf shoes (soft spikes only) or soft soled shoes.
